Pet Day Fun!

Kia ora! Today I am going to tell you about pet day! Pet day is this cool day where you can bring your pets and soft toys! Each year we have pet day and you know what? This year it was different, instead of making sand sculptures and stuff. We made a cool hut for an animal! Our teacher gave us our animal, well the name of it and its likes and dislikes. My animal was named the hippocampus! It was so so cool! We were asked to work in groups so I worked with some of my friends Mikayla, and Riley! I will now show you some photos of pet day!

My Learning For This Week!

Kia ora! Today I will talk to you about what I have learnt in writing. I have learnt about poems and that they can be really fun! All you do/can do is make up words that rhyme and add them to the poem! Once again, it is SO SO fun. In class we had to make a long long sentence like the longest we've ever done! My challenge along the way was to think about what I would make my long sentence about on a cold winter morning. I think it was hard because I had to part it, but that part was easy, saying it on the screencastify, that is the part that was hard because I didn't know what I should sound like when I was saying it on that screencastify.

Making Comics On Pixton

Welcome back Bloggers!

Kia ora! Today I will tell you about Pixton. Pixton is this cool app thing on your computer that you can make a comic on. You could make a comic about you life, and an adventure of you going somewhere, all that kind of stuff and more! You can add some of your classmates on there and you can make yourself or your avatar! You will never want to stop using this amazing, cool, breathtaking app, named pixton. You will want to go home tonight and try pixton and say that I'm glad I looked on that person's blog. You can also have poses and all that kind of stuff. You can change the speech bubbles. You can also change how they look and you can change their clothing too.

Athletics Day

Kia ora!

Hi Bloggers! Today I will talk to you about Athletics Day! But I would wonder if you have ever done athletics before? Well I have, and I am going to tell you what we were doing at athletics. We were doing sprints first. I was so so slow, well what I am trying to say is that I did not win. I came LAST, fourth place, and I was still puffed afterwards and we had to do it 2 times at least I think. Next, we had to go into our groups, and  me and my friend Olivia were in the same group .  We went together in all of the athletics stages, there was shot put, long jump, high jump, and lastly there was discus. I did my best and tried my best in all of this. If you saw me you would say I was slow.

What Is Media?

Do you know what media Is? Media is a lot of things you almost see them everywhere.  I will tell you what I've seen in the past 24 hours, I've seen Websites, signs, movies and TV.  What have you seen that is media? Do you know what media is? There are other things that can be media. things that tell you where to go and things that tell you whats going on. Media is here so we know where to go. Whats going on so we can all be safe. It is very important. Have you ever learnt About media before? The point of media is to tell us information.

Kia ora, today I will tell you about my moment in time writing. I will tell you about Similes, Metaphors, Personification. Firstly Personification is technically when you say I saw the tree wave at me. A metaphor is something where you say a fake simile, so I would say something like my heart is as hard as stone. A simile is something where you would say something like I pounced to the other side like a tiger. My challenge was to actually try to figure out what a metaphor is in the first place, but then I remembered and then I could say what a metaphor is. I am proud of this because I tried to think about metaphors, personification and similes.

All About My Reading

Kia ora! Today I will tell you about my reading.  In my reading the thing I am working on is about a geyser. Did you know that some geysers are very very dangerous they can make you burn yourself. Some are cold so you can go close to them but for a hot geyser you can't. I found my reading challenging because I didn't know much about geysers in the first place. I am proud of my reading because I thought about what I would like to have in my geyser workbook. Today we had to do a diagram. It was so fun. I wanted to do it on a piece of paper, so that's what I did.
